The Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) is an international standard, initiated by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), that encourages media to commit to transparent and ethical journalistic practices. Through a certifiable framework, it recognises media that meet a set of ethical and professional rules.
As RSF’s Africa lead for the JTI, Marc Aboflan promoted these practices among African media, helping them adopt standards of transparency and quality in the treatment of information. His work included a regional seminar in Abidjan in June 2022 with Fondation Hirondelle and discussions with Maghreb journalists in Tunis in March 2022.
